Dr. Marion Kennedy
Marion originally trained as a physiotherapist in Germany, completed postgraduate OMT training and worked as a musculoskeletal clinician for many years.
Marion moved to New Zealand to pursue a Postgrad Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy at Otago which she completed in 2008, followed by a Masters in Health Science at AUT in 2010, and a PhD in Clinical Anatomy with a focus on the shoulder at Otago in 2020.
Marion’s work experience in New Zealand includes being a clinician in private practice and DHB (outpatients) and teaching anatomy labs to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
More recently, Marion worked in the School of Physiotherapy at the University of Otago as a Professional Practice Fellow teaching undergraduate students in labs and as a clinical educator for musculoskeletal placements. She is very interested in the clinical anatomy of the shoulder, musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging and the diagnostic process, clinical reasoning and management. Marion lives in Dunedin with her husband and two children.
