Ciaran is a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist who works in Nelson. His experiences ranges from private practice to public health outpatients, which has primarily been in private musculoskeletal care and sports rehabilitation. He has completed both Bachelors in Health Science (Physiotherapy) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Currently he is preparing to complete the research portion of a Masters of Physiotherapy Practice.

Specific areas of interest include peripheral nervous system disorders, diagnostic accuracy, biomechanics, motor learning, management of long-standing musculoskeletal conditions, management of complex patients and active flexibility development.

His long term professional goals include: becoming a Board Registered Physiotherapy Specialist, developing a standalone education course and generating research to aid the growth of the Physiotherapy profession. Lastly, he plans to develop a valid and reliable Physiotherapy led model, to predict health outcomes and mortality, based on physical capacity measures.
